hi bros,

i know that there are many different kind of anthias and they look very nice.. heard from a friend that anthias have to be bought by a school or at least not by 1 or 2..or else they will hide and starve to death?is that true?

which are the more recommanded anthias species to anthias newbies?

anthais can be bought alone but by buying a group it will make the anthis more bold and encourage it to come out to search for food ... you may want to try dispar as its more easy... and also anthais dun school but they shoal ... hope it helps. those that are super shy are purple and princess ...

different.. when fishes shoal, the stick as a group but dun face in one direction or follow the others blindly like a single entity, they actively swim near to oneanother checking things out that might interest them but staying close to one another.. when they school, their like fools following the leaader.. all move together in sync..

Not really.... even if you buy a few of them, especially tuka or the more shy kind, all of them will still be hiding and seriously t doesn't make feeding any easier.. trust me

only attempt if u have lots of patience.my 6 antias all commit mass suicide and almost caused a major crash..the dispar is relatively easy to feed..the rest u have to try live brine shrimp or cyclopeeze..just my 2 cents worth
