How to know if SPS is bleached or dead?

Also, if it's dead you will see the white skeleton started to be covered by algea within a week.

If the bleaching is caused by excessive light exposure, shift the bleached corals to a lesser lighting area and allow it to regain it's health. While it's not 100% that it will recover ( depending on the damage done ) , there's a chance it might recover but will take about 2 to 3 months to recover.
