Lion ate my Goby??

I jus bought a 3 inch Dwarf Lion Fish 2 days back, and today I found my 2.5 inch Fire Gory Missing!!!! I tried looking at all angles into the LRs but to no avail.

My question is>> Is it possible my Lion ate my Gory??? Or could it be hidding??

Did your lion have a bulged stomach? Is there any signs that the lion chase after your smaller fishes as food?

Fire gobies are known to jump when threatened. So you may also wish to search around the outside of your tank...

Lions are known to eat prey as large as themselves. You wont be surprised if you see them yawn.

The fire goby has long and slender body, so it becomes a likely target if your lion is looking for food.

Their stings are more for defence. Don't normally sting their prey, though. Instead, they use their fins to corner and "trap" their prey, and strike with respectable speed.

There's always this SLIM chance the firefish got eaten by crabs.

If you intend to keep lionfishes, they should be kept in a species only tank.

Seriously. These are predatory fish and anything smaller than them are considered food.
