Though the following is not as many as the surgeonfish & anthias, I'm just wondering how many of you own a Goby?

I do apologise if I missed out any, but if you have any type do tell ...

particularly the exotic ones such as the Blue-Banded or Eviotas. :rolleyes:

They are feeding on cyclopeze and fish eggs....the rainfordi will take cyclopeze and it pecks at rocks..(maybe detritus...not sure)

i feed them cyclopeze too,but still not eating for 3 weeks.only seen occasionally peck on rocks.

You referring to the rainfordi??

For me, I own the following:

1 x yellow prawn goby

2 x high finned banded goby

2 x firefish

2 x purple firefish

1 x Rainfordi

1 x blue streak

So Rumor bro, when is our next "Gobie Watch" update? Let me you when you spotted any good ones ok. ;)

Just realised what a badly thought poll it is ... well, I was kind of in a rush :P

Anyway, the Rainfordi requires a fair amount of budding algae and sand fauna to feed on. That's why it makes sense that they are introduced in an established tank.

Mine feeds on live brine shrimp and bits of frozen mysis/brine.

I also dose DT to help boost the pod / sand fauna population.

Its pretty hardy, so its just a matter of giving them additional sustenance.

got some goby in the shop that we cannot find in the book,

need help here, maybe someone can identify it?

should be...broad-barred sleepergoby (Valenciennea wardii)
