Colours of corals changing..

hi, i notice a problem in my tank.. i have some green mushrooms and a green bubble tip anemone..

but i have notice after afew weeks that they tense to change from nice green to brown colour...

can someone tell me what is the reason for this?

Looks like bleaching, this may be due to overexposure to strong lighting.

I have noticed that giving more actinic,(o3),blue spectrum helps with color. Also the addition of food (not additives) can help also Iodine to help build Zooxanthellae.

I'm cheeting from Eric Borneman's book"Aquarium Corals"

Yellow-orange carotenoids

pink-orange astaxanthins

pink astaxanthins

orange astacene,xanthophylls

purple astaxanthins

the other corals like button mushrooms,sponges and bubble corals are fine...

the purple mushrooms are fine too...

temp is about 26 to 28 sometimes 29..

using PL lights 12 short tubes..

i have a actinic light on it from 6 to about 11pm..but not sure isit a marine blue light or actinic light..
