Green grasses growing on Live Rocks

Hi .. me new and a newbie to saltwater... Just gotten LRs from some1 to start up my new hobby but its covered with grasses... is it a nuisance or should i just ignore it.... do share ur knowledge n experience aite... TIA

Hi bro, I am no expert but i think you need to check on your no3 and po4.used to be hit by this irritating algae.

Really... then will hav to do maintainance tonite n just wait for any progress... but are they harmful?

The alege are harmless and if yiu happened to keep Tangs. They will clean up within a week

Tangs? Hmmm... gd idea but heard that tangs arent friendly n not hardy... isit???

You could also consider turbos, astreas, to help eat the algae. Their presence in your tank as CUC is good anyway

You can get turbo snail,sea hare and tangs to assist reducing the hair algae.all the best!

Sea hares are incredibly efficient in clearing algae, could do away with the algae in a few days. but when that happens, you would need to find it a new home to prevent it from starving.. Some food for thought

You can keep snail, urchin, abalone,sea hare to help maintain the algae.

But the best is to find the root cause.

You using RODI water for topup and salt mix.

If not its good to start using.

You running skimmer to help export nutrient fast.

You clean your frozen feed with DI water before feeding?

If not better start cleaning them before feeding

Gosh, i wasnt doing all those RODI things... tq so much for that... its time for me to mayb invest in a system... really appreciate it bro sherman
