Assuming yours is a feather duster of some sort, they do this sometimes when they want to relocate.. Will leave their existing tube & find a new home, it might be stressed in it's current home

you have a sandbed? Any fish in your tank that may snack on it?

Yes. Its on my sandbed now. I dont have fishes.
