Lighting for a 20g tank...

Now using 36w PL for my 20g Nano Tank... Thinking of changing the lighting to a better ones.. Planning to make it into a full sps tank(Dunnoe can do it anot for such a small tank)... Thinking of going for 4 x24w T5... Or should i go for a 150w MH...

No need for a MH. It will boil your tank if you don't have a chiller. Even if u use fans, imagine the evaporation rate.

Using MH will leave you with only 1 spectrum. You can blend your own spectrum using T5s. T5s consume less electricity too.

Wat is the depth and width of your tank?

Depth of water 12in...

Width of tank 13in...

T5 i intend to use 3 white and 1 blue...

Yes..no point using a MH on such a shallow tank.

A bit off topic .. The skimmer i use weipro 2011 is more than enough right...

Must see your bioload...if 1-2 fish alright..if more than that think you need a better skimmer...maybe a 2012 or 2013..esp if you want to try sps.. but if you got enough $$ get a AquaC remora?

AquaC remora... Very off my budget for my skimmer liao... Within the weipro range at least okaie... Weipro 2011 is for how big tank...

Dunno leh...but bigger the better. Lookout for second hands one..cheaper. If you get bigger models u will need bigger output pumps. Which means you get a higher turnover rate in your tank.

I ordered a weipro 2011 liao... Test it for a week or so before deciding to change anot... I having a PH circulating my tank with 10x turnover rate... Enough???
