Willy, what's your light wattage used? Is it on 24 hours? or at night only?

It's 24 hour. 15.72watt per light. Using 2. Planning to cut down lighting period but still looking for cheap timer haha

How old is your tank? If it is not too serious yet, off your light for two to three day will help keeping it from spreading including a good siphon of the cyno from the rock and sand bed during water change.

Make sure DI TDS reading is still zero.

Controlling nutrients like phosphate and nitrate is just the basic step,

Even some users who use ultra low nutrient systems experience cyano outbreaks.

The key is to use high purity products to minimise accumulation of unwanted pollutants in your system. Some brands seem to work at the start but with long term usage the unwanted pollutants accumulate and that's when you get your cyano outbreaks. It's like filling diesel in a ferrari, makes no sense.
