hi all,

my tank is placed in my room, and sometimes in the morning, due to the air-con, the temp of the tank can be as low as 21-22 degrees... izit okay for the fish and corals? would it be "too-cold" for them?

You fail to say what fish you actually keep. Fish have different preferences and requirements. Find the natural enviromental parameters of the fish you keep and you will solve half your problems.

As always, find out before forking out the $$$.

Think for tropical reef tanks you should not allow the temperature to go below 26. Anything less and your corals will end up growing very slowly.

Really? I keep mine at 25. Seems to be growing quite fine!

Comments are welcome!

Hmmm...too cold if you ask me..metabolic processes all slowed down. Might be good for reducing the rate by which wastes break down. But if you have enough flowrate and a strong skimmer, you could raise it up to 27 slowly. If you are keeping sps you will notice them growing faster.

Always something more important than fish.
