which corals can substain by using PL lights

as above..which corals can substain without any strong lighting.. i have in all 60watt of PL lights and which corals is good ? thanks..will get my MH bulb when my dad is back..so for now..which corals is good for low lighting .. a lot

can try mushie zoos soft corals.... they can trive pretty well on pls

Check on what is your height of your tank, what light you using like 10k, actinic blue etc.

I me keeping my leather, plate, bubble etc under 36w pl light 10k in my 2ft tank and they open up nicely.

as long as your tank is less than 18", PL is good enought for most LPS & sofies..... as for SPS, I've ever kept a staghorn under 2x36W 6500K PL + 2x36W 8000K PL + 1x 36W Actinic PL..... staghorn place 2" below water surface. doing good for a few months and then sold it to bro goldentooth becaused i prefer to keep LPS....

orh..thats a good piece of news.. okiee..i just bought a Xenia and Star Polyps yesterday..was soo scared...stacked up LR high high and put both of them.. BTW its only 1.5'' below the water level...haha so must watch my water level if not they will go dry so now can i put them down..?? THANKS ALL REPLIES

think should be able too. kept a squamosa for a yr now under pls n fls combi. nt recommended though. i have no probs with lps and softies.

I did keep 2 maxima in my 2ft under 1x36w 10k pl, 1x18w 6.5k FL and 1x18w actinic blue FL before. Doing good and opening well.

U can add in 1x36w actinic or 10k PL for better result

Ya you can try, just place your maxima somewhere mid height and they really doing well, low budget of keeping clam.

Try no to rearrange your coral for your clam, if can place your clam beside your coral

i think for clams u need to place them higher up or nearer to the light if u r using a pl light

Maximas shld be no prob! Croceas I think needs strong lights! My christmas tree worms have no prob thriving under PL lights but but be closer to the surface. Just my 3 cents worth.

haha..i think you dont understand what i maen.is.okiee..what i mean is. .i have no clams now..and my corals are 1.5'' belown water level..my qns is can i bring my corals down..instead of stacking them at 1.5'' below water level..can put them on the sand bed for both my green star ploys..and my xienxa. (wrong spelling ) THANKS anyway
