Macroalgae going sexual?

So I got some red grape macroalgae from a generous bro a few days ago. This morning I woke up and saw this...

The "grapes" have turned green and are falling off... Is this what they mean by the macro going "sexual"?

yes very likely bro, most of my Caulerpa Serrulata (razor) went sexual as well. Many reasons, I haven't prun them enough and haven't performed water changes for about 2 months. NO3 still low about 5-10ppm and PO4 registers 0.1-0ppm. So i think it could be due to lack of nutrients for my case. Started dosing trace element with Iodine and Magnesium recently on-top of Iron and KNO3 which i've been dosing to see how long i can go without water changes.

Thanks for the advice, bro KS! I better start dosing more. Think my home system might be too new and too clean since I feed sparingly. Nitrate is a bit low too

I read somewhere that Iron is more essential for green and Iodine is more essential for Red Brown & Purple, gonna see if it would help with my Ochtodes.
