I have a pair of boxer, skunk, harlequin and one peppermint in a 250litre tank. So far none of the shrimp have murder each other. :D

The most my boxer will do is to chase other fish or shrimp away when they ventured into their terrority with its claws. No harm done tot.

Juz to share my experience.

Sorry, i'm not agree with twrs and Warsteiner, i think your boxing shrimp is too aggresive or may be your tank is too small, i have a quite big (about 900 lt) and have several shrimp such as 3 ###### shrimp, 1 fire shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimp, 2 pistol shrimp (which often said as a pest), and ofcourse 2 mated boxing shrimp. But the pistol and the mated boxing shrimp are never eat even to the smallest shrimp (###### shrimp). So i think it is safe if there is plenty of hiding area or rocky area in your tank, as boxing shrimp although quite aggresive but this shrimp is not a "Hunter", may be if your small shrimp cross your boxing, he will be kill or eaten, but if not, then the boxing will not "Hunt" yours other shrimp. :D

I have just given my boxer shrimp away as it is too aggressive. It tried to attack my cleaner shrimp which is of much bigger size than it is, when it get too near. But no harm is done.

However, it attack and kill my coco worms! Expensive meals!

It also eat up my tube worms too!

I don't think size of aquarium matters as my tank is also 900L. But boxing shrimp does not seems to be reef-safe... Just my opinions.

I'm getting a fire shimp form my cousin (a baby shimp form his mated pair) later this week. what I worried is that the boxer might attached & eat it while it molt. Thinking of getting a breeding tank for it as I'm preparing a new 2 1/2 ft tank for my whole marine setup.

:thanks:
