Chaeto turning white?

Hi people, just wondering if anyone has experience with thear chaeto turning lighter and lighter green until it's almost white and starts dying? I've been keeping chaeto in a breeder box outside the tank with 24 hour lighting (some cheapo LED light) for around 2 months now, the chaeto always looked rich dark green and the population of pods was slowly rising. But recently, the chaeto turned white within a matter of 2 weeks and started disappearing. The pods are still very happy and the population is rising even more, though. Can anyone enlighten me on what might be wrong?

Thanks!

Hi bros, that's the funny part. I admit I didn't check phosphate but my nitrate levels still quite high, about 20ppm. So I'm confused as to what happened. Unless my light too low? It's 12 watts led turned on 24/7

Hi bro, what's an AIO? As for dosing, I used to dose Kent trace elements but recently stopped and just changed 10% water weekly

My chaeto turn white and die after I intro sea grape in it. When the sea grape growth more, that's where my chaeto turn white and eventually die off.

So far the sea grape still growing and in my case, is like due to low nutrient as the sea grape absorb much faster than chaeto.

I was spreading them out earlier and found a 4" bristleworm... Could that be the reason why my chaeto not doing well? As I understand bristleworms are quite harmless... Anyway I left him inside there.
