If you stay in Bangkok for long, you will be able to spot a "Ker Ter" (he/she) from miles away. Most of the time, they are bigger build that the ordinary Thai lady. And they have broader shoulder too. So if you spot a really gorgeous, tall and big build girl walking down the street, she is either a model, or a "Ker Ter".

Remember nothing is what it seems in Thailand. If something looks too good to be true, then the chances is that, it is not. hehehe

Oh, I do travel to Thailand on business trips in the past.

The outstanding katoeys can really look like HK movie stars, the majority... errr... cough cough.

I feel sad for them that those who are out on the streets are just earning money just for refinement operations and hoping to land a foreign partner and then live an ordinary live like a woman.

They certainly do have lonely lives and you can see it in their eyes beyond the bright smiles especially when you look away from them.

You are probably right. But those female hormone are not cheap and you have to eat them for years. Who can afford it at the age before puberty without finacial support from the parents? So unless the parents really mess up their kids......
