Hey bro 19pecula & to all those who xpress interests in flakey,

Just consulted with my financial guru...sorilah.

Can't sell it to you lah.He's willing to fork out a nano tank for me to keep the snowflake eel. :P

Maybe can embark on a new project? :idea:

An all eel tank perhaps? :whistle

Aniwae the eel is doing quite well even though been out of water for almost 1 hr or so during the journey back home.Shown some strong character and even get him eating from my hand. :upsidedown:

Fed him some chopped dory fillet as dat was the only thing i found in the fridge :P

Need to do more researching now.So ani bros out there who ever had xperience on this share ur xpertise aite.

Toddles!

:thanks::bow:

Lutdfie,

i had a flakey when i did not hv any coral last time. it iz relatively easy 2 keep. thou it doez not bite or eat coralz it will push coralz / rockz az it movez so make sure ur rock settin' iz firm.

i kept it 2gather wif triggerz / lion fishez az they feed on similiar food (live food the best - those fresh water shop sellin' packeted catfish).

thou thiz may sound cruel but it'z pretty interestin' when the triggerz / lionz / eelz hunt & give chase 2 their feed. yez... strictly no shrimpz & invertz

CAUTION when keepin' eel, COVER UR TANK TOP az they can crawl out of the tank wif the help of ur high rock structure & glazz hangin' equipmentz. oso wat u can do iz 2 get those PVC pipez & just leave them on the sandbed. in any case if they do make it their home, it will b much easier 4 u 2 catch it when u wanna get it out of the tank.

from time to time you should also try to give them hard shelled prey, like live crabs, FW crayfish, etc. simulates their natural prey in the wild.

market prawn should take up the bulk of its diet though... if it's still small maybe you can wean it onto mysis.
