Nice setup!

Personally i think that your plastic bag with your extention cord is rather dangerous. If every your plugs creates a spark your plastic bag will fuel the fire fast. Try using a tupperware instead. Or better still make your extention plugs higher and away from the sump. Maybe above your chiller. Just a suggestion. :)

Are those bioballs you have filling up your overflow chamber? If they are, remove them - they are just nitrate factories.

:o y did u say so? have seen alot of people's tank doing the same thing but never heard that they generate nitrate? wat's the diff in putting the bio-balls in the overflow chamber and putting it in the sump? or izzit bio-balls generally are nitrate factories :shock:

I cannot remember the technicalities as to why bioballs are 'nitrate factories. What is remembered very clearly by me is that they are and should be removed in SW aquaria. If I want to be remiinded of the reasons, I would search at www.groups.google.com. I asked this question at reefcentral before.

Hi cableguy, very neat setup, i notice u r using a digital timer, 1st one from the left on your extension plug. I'm using the same for my MH light, just do a routine check that it is performing properly as i've experience that occasionly it will trip and go haywired. Got to reset the timing again. :)

Your LR seems a bit too tightly packed. The LR also seem to be rather round and not very flat or irregular in shape.

I suggest that you use some eggcrates to create spaces on the bottom of your tank. This way, you improve circulation and eliminate some dead space.

Did recsaping last sunday .Took me wow 7 long hours.Backache now.Purpose is to have better flow and platform for corals.Did put 5x stools for rocks stacking and rotational powerhead below for water circulation.Still in process of getting more corals and liverocks to occupy the whole backround not effecting its circulation.Planing also to get 2 more powerhead for circulation.Happy now cause using MH lamp bought 2nd hand from ARI.
