Missing all the update here.. didn't have much changes to the system except adding more corals mainly frags from friends and from my own tank. ( trying to save money in this setup heehee.. )

Notice some of my sps isnt doing so well lately and caught the main cuript !! . Acro eating snail

Do watch out for them in your tank as well

Been awhile since my last update on this thread.. it is almost close to 4 month old for this tank now.. nothing much changes except to let all the frags grow to a small colony I hope.

Not bad from the respond I see from the colors and growth I suppose . Further more I did not dose any additional supplement to this tank except for the reef resh products.

Can ask a newbie question, sps is possible to maintain without any supplement dosing? Currently keeping only softies n LPS, would like to try out sps if that's possible. Thanks.

Hello bro,

 

As the name suggest, 'supplements'.  Essential ? I do not think so.  Given a good salt mix and regular water changes there is not much u need to supplement.

I think most important is to keep the basic parameters stable CA KH and MG.  Then lower NO3 PO4 for colours to show.  The supplements can come later, just make sure we know what we are adding and the desired effect.

Sps need low nutirents.. so no3 and po4 have to be low..
