Currently i'm dosing A&B supplement every once a while.( 2-3 times a week manually)

I do not do any water test, I just watch the health of the coral as an indication of the water conditions.

I have not change water for the past 5 week, if I do, it will be only 1 pail of NSW.

I have too much of purple coralline, so much so that it is invading my zoes.

My sand are quite "dirty" as you can see.

I also have a lot of small snails and abalone..............should I get rid of it?

My algae scrubber is not fully matured yet.

Once is fully mature, I will skip my water change to quarterly.

However, I will still do my dosing until I feel is time to reduce it.

My aim is to cut down as much maintenance as possible.

Do give me your view.

Guess what I feed to my corals?

I feed them with juices from the market prawns' head.

You'll be surprise all the corals likes it, especially the Acans and palys.

But not sure will it foul up the tank?

I also bought frozen oysters and other seafood like squids, clams and fishes from market

and blend it with blenders until paste form as food for the corals and fishes.

This how a lazy man change water!

I place the whole bag of NSW on display tank.

I will extract all the displacement water from the sump and discard away.

After that, I will release the bag of NSW to the tank. That's it, simple and fast!

I think to keep good corals we cannot afford to be lazy right?

I will still do the minimum of weekly or bi weekly water change.

The rest I shall keep the reefing as simple as possible.

Just a teaser, my tank cabinet.

Tank is still under construction will deliver in 2-3 weeks time.

I'm very intrigue by Santa Monica's Algae Scrubber System.

No skimmer, no water change and no dosing or additives requires.

It is too good to be true........ but I shall test it out.

I will chronicle my journey here.

Let's begin.............................

I started this blog with the goal of using no skimmer, little maintenance, no additive, no dosing or water change just the algae scrabble.

Can we be successful with that?

My conclusion is, you can have no skimmer, little maintenance, no additive, no dosing but still have to change water at least 10% every alternate week.

Let me close this chapter of the Lazy Man Tank.

I shall begin my new journey with a better attitude.........
