Hey Reefers,

Been looking around for some epoxy for my reef.... but seems like most LFS dun carry them at this period......

Was wondering those epoxies from hardware stores... are they reefsafe???

Someone did mention to me a brand called Magicbox.......

Cos that's most probably my next alternative unless some kind reefer  out there might wanna sell me some of their remaining epoxy.....

And also, I have some Turbo snails that I wanna get rid ......... any takers?? or they most probably end up with my Mantis shrimp..... :whistle

Phang,

Try hunting down the epoxy in hardware shops...

I realised that the epoxy sold in LFS are the same kind... but many times the price! :(

Look for those which are used for marine repairs... but dun get those with metals in them. They look similar.... green tubes with white centers.

Oh... and i'll take those turbos... :)

Im using Reef Construct from AquaMedic

decent product, suitable for binding coral with hard skeleton to rock.

Got it at $20+ from Aquamart

CKS,

Check out Aquamart recently.... no stock at all.....

Was actually looking for Tunze Epoxy but no stock at the moment...

Vincent,

won't work if for under water applications.......

All Super Glue is safe as long as they contain cyanoacrylate. All of them do.

I use Alteco Two Part Epoxy. It works under water too. It is like plasticine. They don't call Epoxy for nothing.
