This topic suddenly comes to my mind after seeing some rocks on the field. It also have growth of algae and looks quite similar to the LR in my tank. :lol:

So is it possible to create our own live rocks?? Like placing the rock in a container of saltwater with intense lighting 24/7 and adding some additive to it?? Will it have the same ability as the LR like reduce the NO2 lvl and will coraline algae be able to grow out of it?? <_<

Just curious about this. Have this idea come across any reefers here??
