hmm didnt set a budget.... need one that really can SKIM with the required pump size... probably one that can be reused for future tank upgrade...

If budget allows, start off with the AQUA C remora or urchin........I have used weipro 2012 with good 1/3 cup black kopi skim every 2 days, but was regreting not getting the AQUA C remora pro or EV-120 right from the start.........well, no choice now lah, tight budget, going for Rowaphos first.

your tank is a 2 ft by 2 ft, so I think you will upgrade sometime in the near future. Don't waste $ now to buy expensive skimmer for 2 ft. Try to buy a secondhand Prizm or urchin for the time being. when you upgrade to 4 ft or 6 ft, then can seriously think of getting a really good one.

IMO, few reefers can resist upgrading from a 2 ft tank.
