May 2018 FTS

How many types of green macros can you identify in the following photos?

The reds are still doing ok, can't say they are doing growing well. Heres a photo of a fat Mandarin pooping on it :D

And zoomed out view of the FTS. The macroalgae tank is surrounded by more greens.

And lastly, the evening view the fishes and critters get to enjoy.

Traded some macros over the weekends with bro @JulianZxc, please help us with the ID if you are positive about it smile.gif

This could be flat blade Gracilaria?

And maybe Liagora?

And a bad news. The regal Tang died too frown.gif it was the most aggressive fish in the tank. And there has been a series of mysterious death of healthy fishes recently.

I've also caught a Gorilla Crab :o Available for adoption immediately.

Ending the post with photos of the inhabitances, please no more missing/dead fishes!

Nice! Do show more pics of ur gobies feeding! I love gobies but don’t dare to try keeping them!

Sure! Fortunately, they're not too fast, easier to capture. They're also pellet trained now :)

The active breeders are the Nassarius snails,  but unfortunately ive not seen any babies. Something must be feasting on them :)

The reason why photos are usually taken at night. The contrast is too strong in the daytime. This photo shows the tank with direct noontime sun. The floodlights are turned on at most for 4-hours a day.

Finally splurged on actual Aquarium lighting 3.5 years after this tank was started! The colourations of the macros and anemone are more appealing now! Also added blue and yellow sponges gotten from Specialised Aquatics solutions recently. The previous blue sponge didn't make it and I've decided to try again with a slightly different approach.

Yep, I'm reconstituting Silica into the tank! Another chemical compound most people are removing. Gotten this from MadPetz. Hopefully, the sponges thrive with this supplement.
