ah no, the balcony is not that opened, only very little rain water gets into the tank, infact most of the time when it rains, only the other half of the balcony gets wet. And then sometimes there will be freak storm but luckily that dont happen everyday

No, i've problems of not enough nutrients which will cause the macro of going sexual, so im feeding the fishes aggressively and also dosing more nutrients (NO3,Iron,Mg..etc)

The much beloved Starry blenny past away recently Sharing the last photo taken of this mysterious dude. Its favorite activity was basking in the sun and chilling on the Ochtodes. It happened soon after an RBTA was added, could it be related?

 

Also gotten 3 fan worms for this dirty tank. They look better in a cluster in my opinion.

 

And a sneak peek of upcoming macros/mangrove for the display tank. This is a photo of the refugium aka seaweed incubator. It consists of the following..

• Red Mangrove
• Caulerpa Racemosa
• Caulerpa Serrulata
• Caulerpa Prolifera
• Ulva
• Some tiny Fern Caulerpa which i can't ID.C. Racemosa

My algae blenny disappeared also. I realized it was eating lesser. Than gone. Day one was with my rbta and lasted a year. I believe it's cos of diet. Imagine in the wild, they prob had a variety of stuff to eat. In my tank it won't even take pellets. Just hair algae. So their system slowly degrade, then die. I don't feed my corals or anything so the hair algae traps zero stuff except fish wastes.

hmmm.. mine was feeding really well though, too well in fact that it looked pregnant. it was still eating well the day before, and there are plenty of algae to graze on

Very interesting concept bro. Very nice too! I don’t see any chiller. I read that sometimes temperature will go up to 31 degrees. Will it be too hot for the fishes? I’m newbie, camping here to learn! Lol

Lol yea! Easy with high flow + good nutrient, light provided by mother nature

Thank you! I think it will be quite expensive to run a chiller for outdoor tank. It gets really sunny in the noon

These fishes are fine, i guess it means higher metabolic rate, so feed them twice a day.

Finally found this beautiful red macro (Halymenia .sp). Maybe Red Ulva, maybe dragon's breath. Gotten a big bunch to be sure I don't lose them again

I hope so too, so far no problem with a pair of mandarin, they started with pods and now they're fatter after they started munching on frozen food and pallets.
