SRC Member Dez Ching Posted June 22, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted June 22, 2015 Hi guys, anyone selling this coral or seen it at LFS? I can't seemed to find it nowadays. It's skeleton is more finger-shaped like, and not those dome-shaped goniopora. Can anyone advise me where it is selling, or if anyone letting go? Thanks guys. SRC Supporter Joe_P Posted June 22, 2015 SRC Supporter Share Posted June 22, 2015 What you are looking for are known as alveopora corals. Not commonly available. Have seen these at Iwarna and Pacific Reef.

Mellow
I remember golden octopus has them occasionally too. Remember to do coral dips after purchases though. Quote "Save a reef, grow your own"
SRC Member Dez Ching Posted June 23, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 23, 2015 Hi Bro Mellow, thanks for the update. Do you mean coral dips as freshwater dip? And why is it necessary? Do guide me along. Thanks.
SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted June 23, 2015 SRC Supporter Share Posted June 23, 2015 A freshwater dip is one way but typically not 'harsh' enough. Coral dips such as Two Little Fishies Coral Revive or CoralRX are popular brands of 'dips' to kill worms & other parasites & pests that may be hidden in the coral. http://www.coralrx.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=12 Quote Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/mysliceofnature/
SRC Member Dez Ching Posted June 23, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 23, 2015 Actually, I never do neither freshwater dips before for my corals... That is why now I faced problems myself. Even though all live rocks started off as dead rocks, now it seemed like there are creepy crawlers I saw at night... Must have been from the corals I bought... Alamak!! Bro Leon, if I do CoralRx dips now for the corals and the affected live rocks, do you think it can help?

Not economical to dip larger rocks. Many of these creepy crawlies are in fact beneficial & feed on leftover food.
