past 2 weeks liao ah? ..hehe.. must tell us if it passes the 2 week and 1 month mark.. :P

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

i think wat terry means is that the dymax may be normal T5 light tubes whereas those deltec/ATI are T5 HO light tubes....HO meaning high output...

what is the wattage of the dymax t5 tubes in 2ft, 3ft and 4ft? maybe that will answer terry if they are of the same output... :)

bro Roidan , I guess that answered your question...he...he...by the way this is off topic but your air dryer will be in by the end of the month if you're still interested in getting it.... :D

Tube Waltage for the 3ft one is 30W but can use 39W tube as well if you want to replace them.

can u check the ballast of the dymax before u buy the 39W tubes?

i am afraid the dymax is the normal T5 ballast and not the T5 HO ballast...if it's the normal T5 ballast, then the ballast will not be able to drive the 39W tube properly/efficiently :)

will see if i still need it ...probably not bro AP, not running ozoniser nowadays..thanks for the air dryer update..hehe

bro weapon....

take for example osram ballasts/tubes...

their T5 HO (Hight Output) series have ballasts/tubes from 24W, 39W,54W....ballast wattage matching tube wattage, meaning 24W ballast to 24W tubes..., 39W ballast to 39W tubes...

but they also have another line of T5 which is T5 HE (High Efficiency)....running at lower wattages than the high output series above....

to make it clearer for u....i put it this way...

549 mm tube length : 14W (HE) 24W (HO)

849 mm tube length : 21W (HE) 39W (HO)

so both types may be called T5s, but the lumens are totally different....so dunno dymax is using HO or HE T5s :)

the ballast are standard for individual lighting for example 2ft is 20watts each ....3ft is 30watts each and the 4ft is 40watts each and not interchangeable...... :D

oh..in that case probably dymax really using their own ballast...

2feet: 20W ballast matching 20W tube

3feet: 30W ballast matching 30W tube

4feet: 40W ballast matching 40W tube

compared to the germans, Osram, ATI, deltecs HO ballasts/tubes

2feet: 24W ballast matching 24W tube

3feet: 39W ballast matching 39W tube

4feet: 54W ballast matching 54W tube

so for the same length/space that you can accomodate in your sump/tank, the germans seem to be able to provide more light/wattage.....

but at a higher price of coz....so it's back to the buyer to choose between price or performance :)
