They are a little pricey but I can safely say that if you add them, you needn't add any other additives from Kent Marine or Coral Life etc etc.

Try Funky Old Reef Mud to replace trace elements as well as essentials like strontium, iodine, calcium etc as the grains are actually natural argonite that dissolves over time gradually.

Also I have used Reef Energiser and Live sand booster with good results. I want to use the Combo thingy soon but that one is expensive...about $70 a bottle. After I finish using all my other additives...I will just stick to Mark Weis stuff!

Phytoplex from Kent Marine is good though...for feeding all your hard and soft corals as well as anemones, clams etc etc.

Ive been using that as well, doesnt seem to be boosting coraline growth

does it give u any nuisance algae problem?

Ive coral vital LSB too. Im not sure if this is the product that contributes to my constant calcium reading (550ppm), Alk 10 btw. I havent been dosing any additional suppliment for calcium/alk for 2months already.

Im using it for my DSB + MM setup

It is actually called Reef Energiser and the bottle is similar to the LSB bottle. I have seen Reef Vital DNA but I would actually recommend that you try the Vital Combo. The reviews in TFH about this is really quite awesome. The nuisance algae I get is the brown film type on my tank walls but now hardly any grows anymore...must be something I have done right...heh heh.

In any case, I never take calcium readings...I just dose a teaspoon of calcium daily from Kent Marine with 10ml of Coral Accel and 5ml of Liquid Gold Pro Plus.

I have this piece of rock that has magical powers. If you put it in your tank you will have wonderful looking corals and fish. It cost $300 but for you special price, only $200! For it to work effectively, you must believe it works and maintain excellent water quality with skimmers, good water movement, have strong lighting like MH and feed your corals and fish with quality food.

I'm a sucker for new products, after spending tons of money on Marc Weis stuffs, i find them to be nothing but useless. Just another strong marketing gimmick
