well said FuEL...... totally agree with u.

by setting up a refugium and growing macroalgae helps to a certain extent as the caulerpa absorbs the excess nutrients, e.g. nitrate for it to grow. the thing to look out for is ur macroalgae turning asexual and u hv to prune ur macroalgae regularly.

Hi,

The algae will turn asexual when they die off rite? So, if i removed it fast enough after it dies off, will it prevent the nitrates and PO4 spike?

And, does pruning it means simply plucking the algae stalks off, or are there some methods to do it?
