Achilles Tang
Budget? If you have $1300... get the Canon G3.
SRC Member Norvin Ng Posted February 1, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted February 1, 2003 For rookie like me, Canon iXUS V3 at S$799 is the best bet. Handy and enough features for general use. Try Parisilk at 64521593. Got most of my stuff from them at prety good prices.
SRC Member hongqixian Posted February 2, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted February 2, 2003 The nikon coolpix range are better at taking closeups but their video function no sound. At least my coolpix 2500 doesn't. There is a coolpix 3500 selling for $699.
jason
Hi Woonming, I got a canon G3 recently, very satisfied. I make this purchase after around 1 month of reading up on the net. 1) can play video and picture on TV. 2) very clear and good picture. 3) I feel easy to use. (I am a total new bird in this field). 4) Long battery operation hours 5) video with sound. cannon g3 can be purchase at around 1200 to 1210 including gst. see my tank picture, taken by me(a guy who know nuts about photography)
