Artifical Coral | Dye or paint smell

Dear all,

Last week I bought artificial corals from Sunrise Aquarium Jalan Kayu.

I soaked in water n kept it for 3 days but still paint smell is there and water gets smell.

How to clean it before I put in my display tank?

Is it safe to use this?. Thanks in advance.

not sure what they use to color the corals, perhaps you can try running carbon.

better make sure they are fish safe.

One way to try is soak in tank water outside your tank for days or even weeks to observe for "falling/ melting" paints

i think the aquarium he mention is a freshwater lfs.
