3ft tank sump design feedback

Can't tell much from this photo. Is e skimmer compartment water level constant?

That's a 2 compartment sump I think , water level in the second compartment will drop due to evaporation , unless there is an auto topup installed .

This is a decom system that I'm thinking of buying. Seeking for advice what are the critical things to look out for for auto top off, I have current unit to install. I'm a newbie, so will start off with simple coral and fishes, gradually build up. Thanks all in advance

Without auto up system then this sump will be a headache for u. With inconsistent level for skimmer to skim effectively. It seems rather cramp too, with a few sets of equipment it will be slightly harder to do Maintainence especially that the tank height seems rather high

Yes Alex, you must be very pro without seeing the full tank, you've nailed the height is rather high.. This must be a pretty old fashion system?

No la, I was toking abt e sump tank height.. No such thing as old fashion la. Jus newer ideas out there. I am using e traditional design too, jus that this sump isn't the best design n build
