weipro leaking

hi... recently i just bought a weipro.... the problem is that the input of the skimmer drip water..... but not at a fast rate......... can i just put the teflon tape..... any ideas or should i get a refund ???

the inlet joint is a good fit. need to really fasten until cannot go in anymore.

its the elbow part lei...... thats what i did..... but still leaking lei.....i put teflon tape alos leaking..... what to do...

Yes, they tend to leak.. even if you change another.

silicon it.. but you gotta let it set for a day or two. Silicon can be removed if needed so no biggy..

me too...running for around 5 mths liao...then say water dripping...frustrated..just put a small pail there

When I bought my Weipro skimmer, the guy at LFS actually told me need to silicon it first because there will be leaks which is normal.

maybe their machine which mades the products are lousy. thats why have inconsistent of precise moulding

Mine leaked too.. chalked the damn thing with some acrylic sealant then no more leaks liao... cheapo stuff.. grumble

yup ..i agree cheepo stuff..but you knows what you are paying for.. If you can fort out a sum of money on a Aqua C or a H&S.. you can see the difference in quality in foaming, materials. and very nice PRICE .. BUt the performance of weipro is not bad thought..

I have a Macro skimmer with the same problem. I use the selley's knead it putty ($4) to plaster over the leaking part, working fine now.

mine leaking like mad so i just put it in the sump

maybe use a small piece of rubber hose as a joint??would that stop the leak?going to try...

Mine leaked too... I just hantam the whole elbow in sealant... ugly but it works...
