SRC Member Bulldozer Posted April 27, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hi All, I had my tank since 2010 stashed with NOT so nice looking rocks provided by my tank maker company. This year, I replaced all my rocks with the Ceramic Rocks on a progressive replacement basis. Just sharing on my latest set up: (If anybody knows how to copy link and put the video directly here, please help me do so) https://youtu.be/NOzyVIPDSk8 I have also added in Bacteria on a progressive basis using this: I HAVE A SITUATION: 1. Even WAY before I changed to current set of rocks, I have this issue whereby my water seems YELLOW (not very serious but Tint of yellow). 2. Having only add ATM Bacteria Outbreak , my water seems cloudy if you take a close look near the tank. It is not obvious at all from far but closer look (especially from not from the front but from the Side to Side). You will not get a total clear see thru together with that yellow tint. HELP NEEDED: What can I do to make my water CRYSTAL CLEAR and reduce the Yellow Tint further? Thank you ALL for Viewing, Sharing & Contribution......................................................... P/S: Thank you PHILIP (Iwarna) on helping me on the Ceramic Rocks. Thank you BENSON (Aquarium Domain) for taking over the maintenance of my tank recently. You 2 have been very helpful on all those Non Live Stock Issues. Sponsor Iwarna Posted April 27, 2015 Sponsor Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hi Guan, You are most welcome. If the yellow tint is caused by tannin, you can remove them with carbon. Sponsor Iwarna Posted April 27, 2015 Sponsor Share Posted April 27, 2015 What is tannin? I have one packet of Carbon inside my SUmp already ..maybe not enough ?? Tannin is mainly caused by dissolved organic compound in the water. Use activated carbon to remove it. SRC Member Bulldozer Posted April 27, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted April 27, 2015 Nice fishes, bro. Finally see u start ur own thread. Wow..... you monitor my postings ah? ahahhahahhahaha .... I always think my tank is Normal and Simple with Rocks only .. So I never really thought of starting a Thread. Moreover I am not technically inclined as I am a Lazy Reefer. I even leave maintenance to the experts. Therefore, I am just a simple guy who loves and wished to own part of God's creation in my humble living room. Thanks for the encouragement ya ....
