stressed.. I realised that last time when I do a major rescape or try chasing the fishes around when catching them..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

Other than fw dips, you can do hyposalinity which is placing the fish in saltwater of a much higher SG to kill off the parasite.

Can't quite remember what is done in this method but it was mentioned as a treatment for whitespot. I read it either here or on the reefcentral forums(www.reefcentral.com).

thats hypersalinity you talking about.... hyposalinity is reducing salinity to as low as 1.019 gradually. Search around SRC, should be able to find many threads on it.

:off: sounds like biology. hypotonic and hypertonic. where hypertonic means to have a lower water potential as compared to something else and hypotonic means to have a higher water potential to something else.

wait. in this case, doesn't higher salinity mean hypertonic? the water has lower mol of H20 as compared to another bucket of water?

dunno just rambling. :off:

yes.. hypersalinity means higher SG.. but till date I only see one person here who recommend this.

Hyposalinity would mean lower SG. Supposed to be very effective for those who tried it..

normally, if the ich is due to shidting of rocks and ur fish is healthy, the ich will go away... unless after 2 days or so, and the spots are still there, den u may wanna get some of those medication, there's quite a few around, n not cheap! :)
