Niger Trigger Fish anyone?

Hi Guys, have anyone rear a small-size Niger Trigger fish at home before?
Can share with me the experience? What it will eat or gobble?
Will it attack other fishes, gobble up corals and bite me when my hands are in the tank?

I have phobia with trigger fishes ever since I was taught diving, but I has always admire a Niger Trigger fish swimming with its flapping up-down fins. So I seek opinion from brothers and sisters here. Is it a good fish to rear? Thank you in advance for a reply.

I have kept Niger Triggers and are IME quite peaceful for triggers.

Mine won't attack my hand but will "beg" for food.

They are,however very greedy[obviously]

Mine doesnt attack my other fishes and leaves my cleaner shrimps alone.It ate all my snails and crabs though.

Overall,nice fish to have.

Just keep in mind all fish have different personalities..

I got him for 10 bucks at SeaLife[bukit Merah]

I fed him regularly so he grew pretty quickly.He grew up with his tankmates so he leaves them alone.In fact he schools with my Chromis xD

He's now abt 6 inches.

He does take the occasional pellet

Niger Triggers are definitely coral safe so I have no worries about mine doing that.

Not sure about niger but i do keep a picasso trigger about 4 to 5inch. But to me having my current trigger is very important in my tank. Because whenever i feed large slices of seaweed, extra large pellets, prawns or any food that is too big for my other fishes and they wont touch it, i can depend on my trigger to shred everything to tiny pieces which entices all my other smaller fish to eat.

No corals so cant say anything about nibbling.

So far not bullying, very friendly. Heard stories about triggers going rampage or is a time bomb. But so far mine have not, very peaceful. Or maybe only clown trigger is the fierce 1.

Most exciting fish to see eating. A lot of sound. Love chasing his reflection, super super active fish. Very cute sleeping habit, whenever night time he will sleep vertically upright in a cave. Nv seen such a sleep position for a fish before, thought he died the first time i saw it.

Strongly recommend triggers. Though i have no idea when he reaches twice his size. Need a big tank though i feel.
