New to marine tank

Hi guys 1st time keeping marine.planning to convert my freshwater 8ftx4ftx3ft FGT to marine tank keeping purely fishes.

I currently have a 4ftx1ftx1.5ft filter box filled with ceramic rings,bio balls n bacteria house. Run by a 5000l/hr pump.

I'm planning to fill the last 2 compartments with live rocks. Need to get a skimmer. What other equipments do I need?

Not sure if Bacteria House is recommended, would also like to know.

Bro Bad Boy... If u r only starting FOWLR, i recommend to have alot possible of live rocks or gd quality bio ceramic rings in ur filter compartments and nicely scaped live rocks in ur fgt for fishes shelter and aesthetic purpose... Also to get urself a double capacity gd skimmer for protrain exports... And few wavemakers for circulations in the fgt , try to avoid dead spots... Lighting with T5 will be sufficient... Tats wat i'm having for the last 3 years... Simple yet workable...

My only test kit was kh tester and using only swing hydrometer.... Substrate is optional but if u want to put, dont put more than 3inches thick... Chiller is also not necessary if ur water temperature doesnt exceed 30deg when all equipments running... Close monitoring and is crucial on the first 8-12 weeks....
