Check frequently or even everyday when dosing pH, kH or Calcium additives. Else you will end up with super high kH or Cal levels..

I also have a problem, my kH levels drop from 11 to 5 every week... but calcium levels hardly budge at all... any reason why?

Probably high acid level in your tank, which eats up the buffers. Too many fishes, overfeeding, not enough water movement, no protein skimmer, not enough live rocks - all factors that can contribute to depleting kH.
