Yellow tang and shrimp

Anyone seen yellow tangs and those shrimps with a red line down its back (what's their name ?) on sales at reasonable price ? New Trios has tang at $22/ea - too pricey for me.

Nowadays, Yellow Tangs (even small ones) are going for around $20. As for the shrimp you mentioned, I think you meant cleaner shrimp. They are around $8. Cleaner shrimps seems to be missing from the market at the moment, but there many yellow Tangs everywhere.

Just ordered a yellow tang yesterday for $20. Was told it is from Sri Lanka. Cleaner shrimp is about 8 for Indonesia ones and 12 for Hawaii or Sri Lanka ones.

Not sure the shop name. It is in Hong Leong Gardens. Name is Marine Life maybe?

Came in 8 small ones yesterday. By the time i reach there , left only 4.

They have got 4 really large yellow tang though, easily 5 inch and above ones.

Can kindly share some sources of shop that sells marine livestock ?

New Trio can bargain for $20. Look for "Bug" the old man. Fish is high quality. Marinelife (Hong Leong) also can get at $20. Henry doesn't give much discount.

Was told that New Trios quarantine their livestock, so slightly pricey. Another downside is that they are located very far away. What about that place at Seletar ? Are their stock reasonably price ?

yesterday, henry just transfer 6 yellowtang into his tank .. just 5 mins later 2 yellow tang gone.

1 of them in my tank now. err he say after CNY the price $25

I think New Trio (LCK 110) do not quarantine their stocks per say. They just put them in boxes upon arrival and add copper into them for a few days.

$20-25 is the average for Yellow Tang.

Agree. he cleaner shrinp nows day seems to get smaller and smaller in size. it is due to over harvesting ?? If thats the cause, that its very sad .........
