PH of Water from Tap?

I bought a Hanna Instruments PH tester at $39 that day.

I tested the water from tap and got approx 7.8 PH

can you tell me what are you results to let me know if my meter is reading right?

you will need the pH 7.01 or 7.00 calibration fluid to recalibrate the pH probe before use.

I calibrate with PH 7.0 Solution already...from Niche i think $7 a bottle.

my salt water measures Ph 8.1 to 8.2

My tap water measures Ph 7.8 not 7 as measured by my Sera Test kit

Also I believe KH of our tap water is less than 1 yeah?? or 0??
