Will on-off light affect sps?

Hi ! please advice, as title.

What happen is my light setting are from 3pm-10pm, every morning will switch on the light for 1 hr to feed my fish before go work, does this affect the spss ?

Doubt so, your main lighting period is not long in the first place, so the extra 1 hours does not do any harm.

It will only shock your fishes if you turn it on suddenly... do your fishes have appetite to eat though?

Suggest you buy a blue light/ white light to act as in between, fish/ coral takes darkness as a signal for night where it will be trigger into hunting mode, too long a dark period is unnatural to their well being.

By doing that, I don't think is harmful for the coral but is very stressful for your fishes. Furthermore, with the shock, I don't think they will eat.

By switching on ur lights every morning juz to feed ur fishes while ur fishes could still be in a daze from sleep will waste the food u threw in. And only added waste to ur bioload. I would rather u invest in a food timer to feed ur fishes during lights on period when u r out at work.
