are coco worms easy to take care?

Off the top of my head, Coco-worm requires a fair amount of phytoplankton as they are filter feeders. Place them in a position where there's good water circulation will probably help.

Avoid Butterfly fishes as they pick on them.

Also have good water quality and sufficient trace elements to build their calcerous shell as they grow.

And MUST also and DEFINITELY avoid Cowfish...

My Cowie has a fetish for them...Each only last him about a day...

And their babies tend to have single crowns and I am still monitoring when the second crown will appear...

Difference between the coco and tubeworms babies is...the latter have soft husks whereas the former's ones are harder...

i see thanks for the advice. will be getting my first coco worm soon. been saving up for it. aniwae i have a photoplankton by sera. does doing it every night would help??

are there any other predators like crabs i should watch out for?

Photoplankton by Sera??? Do u mean those pellet food from Sera? Those food are high in PO4 will pollute your water.

I strongly recommend you to use DT LIVE plankton if you really want to keep COCO worm. Make sure there is steady current flow from the back of COCO worm crown since it needs current to carry the food to them.

Do you have mature refugium that will generate live food for filter feeder also?

how often do you feed them? I feed them about 2-3 times a week. Is tat enough?

If the above answer is positive, then it may be feed enough?

Otherwise, it may shear its crown and grow smaller and smaller crown if lack of food since it needs energy to open it crown.

Right move, bubble_gum. Since beside feeding, coco also need optimum Ca/Alk level to generate its hard tube.

thru the centre... just sit infront of your tank and observe.. the shit quite often .... if youare lucky, you might even see it spawn..

finally got my coco worm.... 2*bucks man could have got a max from lck110 but..... hiyah nt like my lights can sustain dem.heheheh.... i think the lff didnt feed it. looks so pale.... like bleached. but the worm open up big
