Mushroom corals

Just a question I have about mushroom corals.

I have heard that mushroom corals will split into two overtime. Does anyone know about how long will it take to split?

It started splitting when it was slightly bigger than the old 50c size. Mine completed the split in less than a day. It will "tear" first. Subsequently the tear will heal and you will have 2. It has split twice and now I have 3 identical mushrooms.

The top and the right mushroom are the latest splitter.

I have mine for more than a month. Has not start tearing ...

Any ways to promote it from splitting?

cut across its mouth with a blade ..

After i cut I need rubble or rocks for them to attach right? Or do I use glue?
