Yes, I have a love hate relationship with this fish. The sixline wrasse is such a beauty and I added it for this reason alone. The downside is it whacks all the pods in the aquarium too.

But it's really a big big bully! Every other wrasse, goby and small fishes I added after that got chased around and exterminated by it. Some died jumping out of the aquarium to evade it's pursuits. Now it's big and fat and still pretty but I have to wait till it dies a natural death before I can add other smaller fishes that I fancy.

Aquarium 3 - 250 liters with sump and refugium

Jebao DC 6000 pump with speed controller

Skimz skimmer

AI Hydra 52 HD

Hailea HS-66A (1/4 hp) chiller

Maxspect Gyre

TLF Phosban reactors with Phosban

Tunze nano osmolator

Marine Magic Triplet Dosing

Aquarium 1 - 27 litres

Atman HF-0600 HOB filter

Maxspect Razor Nano 60W (10,000 K)

AOL 60 litres chiller

Tunze Nano Osmolator

Now I am worried for my gobies.

But I still don't see it ... What happens if it dies in the rocks .. o.o

It's just missing for a day. Just give it a few more days. If it dies, do consider some other more docile and less territorial fishes to add to your aquarium first.

All the best.

Would it be better if i buy a wrasse from a fellow reefer in sgreefclub? If so does anyone have any cheap (<$10) wrasse that they want to let go?

Wrasse are cheaper than 10, just proper acclimate it and it won't die the first day

I usually acclimate for a full hour before adding them ... Is that long enough?

I have a wrasse that buried itself and managed to evade my efforts to find it, even after I cleared up the whole tank off rocks and me digging through the sandbed. The next day morning, it was swimming around!! Now it disappeared again thus this could be a case of your wrasse hiding deep in the sandbed and appearing only when it wants to

Depend how you acclimate , usually I use drip drop method , put in isolation box to observe and release when it start eating. To allow me to observe is my parameter good enough for it? Or will it start eating . So when it die I can take it out immediately and not confuse whether it's hiding or dead

Another advice is buy 1 wrasse per bag, slime produce by fish always get into their gill making them suffer in acclimate process
