Hi guys,

I'm planning to make a DIY ATO with float switch and air pump for my 8gal tank. Where can I hunt for batter powered air pump and smallest float switches possible? If any reefer bros have, please let me know too.

Thanks in advance.

I've seen float switches at sim lim tower (basement ~$12. Top floor ~ $18-$40). I bought some in ebay (US$1.50) as well. I've used both - same quality.

Thanks bro subzerolt. I just ordered some from ebay. It's around 2sgd. How do you get them to be fixed in your tank bro?

The photo below should explain it.

I use a Bubble Magnus probe holder (DE Aquatic).

The high switch is mounted directly onto the probe holder.

The low switch is fitted into an acrylic tube (ArtFriend) then mounted on the probe holder. Hence the depth of the low switch can be adjusted easily.

Temp use a jelly can with the pump drop inside. Pump is connected to controller.
