The room where my tank is infested with mosquitos

er..cannot be from your tank wat...if the problem is coming from the tank...use powerhead to make surface of water choppy...

if freshwater tank and got no water circulation then i think got pro liao

maybe can add a bubble stone to create a water movement

as for laying eggs u bet they do it very fast

Very affected by it...bloody lots of mosquitoes but cannot spray bygone...........

Actually i dunno whether the mosquitoes are laying in my saltwater tank a not lah..but there is just alot og mosquitoes flying ard in my room, especially near the tank there. Got ard ten or so...hai..i bought a device that attracts mosquitoes and eletrocute them. It managed to kill quite alot of mosquitoes every night but this freaking problem is still not under control. Any suggestion on how to terminate those mosquitoes??

Mosquito eggs and larvae can't survive in seawater. I suggest you check your potted plants if any or maybe take a tour of your neighbour's place.

if its from you tank then you'll see many larveas in the water.. but highly unlikely coz it saltwater..

i hate mosquitoes too..

used to think it was somewhere in my house BUT!!!

i took a tour around my place,

i have nieghbours who have water features outside their

main gate, the kind with artificial pond and fish

spouting water (ya, HDB)

another one has a HUGE koi pond, abt 4 x 2 x 3

another keeps a jungle at the stairway...

there are so many potted plants there, you'd think

he could charge admttance.

anyway, i got me one of those elecronic repellants...

theres no more mosquitoes now in my bedroom,

but the living room still has the occasional wraith.

uh..who can i complain too har?

they all live on the same floor,

just below me

i should start to put my skimmate in

their ponds and plants

Recently, there're more mosquitoes everywhere. It's because of the weather, nothing to do with fish tank.

Could it be ur tank cabinate black in color ? or around ur tank provides area for the mosq to hide.

Think they like damp and warm area.

Hai..now i know why my place so many mosquitoes liao lah...my mum went to see my 2 neighbour's hse and she say their koi ponds are full of larvae . One of them keep kois w/o any filter( No need to ask me about the survival rate lah ) . Salute them man.

those are kois.. larvea too small for their liking.. anyway these mosquitoes probably breed faster than they can eat..

Tell them first better.. if they still dun do anything then pao toh
