Driftwood in a sw tank

Noticed in all the beautiful setups here, never see anyone use dw as a decoration. Any reason for its absence and also is there any negative impact if dw is used?

Am so tempted to try one with dw and rocks, replicating a mangrove shoreline :)

Dw reduce ph - use more buffer

Dw rots produce no3 - use more biopallets

Dw rots produce po4 - use more rowa

Dw rots and stain water - use more carbon

Sound ok , someone tried dw in a reef tank or doing a brackish water set up? Let's see some pics

I used driftwood in a brackish set up before. It rotted quite badly in the course of 8 months. I don't have pictures and it was quite a while ago anyway.

Thanks for the info, good enough to know that it's a risky route to take with the dw rotting so fast ..
