Is there an English manual anywhere for these MAME overflow? I wish I paid attention during japanese class! Would have come in handily now. I'm clearly not doing it right but I can't squeeze the vinyl pipe in anymore. Is this too far apart? According to the manual it's suppose to 3mm. So this is too wide. But it won't budge. I've tried the hot water method. Ain't budging. Snyone here with a MaME? Help! 16009173382_11de03ede5.jpg16009173362_3bee0eb03e.jpg

After a few days of scaping, I net out with this 10/90. Light(10%) on the left plane and heavy(90%) on the right plane. I'm trying to have more negative space. In the long run I might add some short tiny islands to give it more texture and some depth depending on the corals I'm gonna populate with.

Why that tall pillar on the right? Scroll down.

Ha got myself a custom miniature figurine that sits on the very tip of the pillar. If my calculations are right, it will sit perfectly on the water surface. Mr Scuba Diver looking down at the "Ocean". And he has two turbo snails to chill with. biggrin.png

Any thoughts or pointers? I;m not sure if I am 100% satisfied but so far after so many different variations, this is the one I'm most comfortable with right now.

Looking at the design of the sump, the flow leading to the return pump will be a downward flow. This will cause bubbles in the main tank as the bubbles will be sucked into the return pump.

Angel Keeper

Good observation. I haven't flood it so once I do I'll keep a look out. I do have baffles between the fuge to the return section. Hoping that will minimize on any micro bubbles. I might do the Sponge between the baffles too to trap 'em.

Would a fuge of that size be sufficient ? am just wondering cos am planning on mine and am not sure if its too small. Thanks
I guess it really depends on what u gonna put in your refugium but my tanks is only 32 gallon so it's more than enough for me. I'm not putting sand. I'm just gonna have live rock rubble, chaeto and some mangrove. What's your tank size?

FTS 12.24.14 Front

A little unorganized now but I'll be moving things around depending on the growth rate of the corals. Had to get rid of a lot of big colonies I had and just kept mostly frags to populate this tank. I real want to see it grow out especially the strip of Zoa Island in the front. The right tall pillar will eventually be stocked with pointy SPS and it'll look like a Spike Club. biggrin.png Real gansta.
