White stuff growing over my LRs.

I realised that some white stuff, that was together with my Yuma rock, is growing over the LR below.. Its sort of thick and now looks like its 'flowing" down the the rock below. Touch it, bit soft..

no picture now, will try to take a pic when I get back. Anyone have the same stuff?

your discription reminds of me of GHOSTBUSTERS cartoon..only that it's white and not green...

well, any other observations? such as white slimy thing affecting the look of other corals or such???

its not slimy.. just some white thick stuff .. now my rocks are sticking together. Must take a pic tonight.. hope my crappy camera can get a good shot.

BTW I had an 'alien' encounter though... hehe.. my damn chocolate chip tried to eat my jewel coral.. found it on the coral. Removed the bugger and saw the coral encovered totally in mucus.. .. luckily only the tenticles melted..

I tot so too but dun seem to be like any sponge sold in LFS.. ctexture also different.. And growing quite fast.. in no time I would have LRs covered in this thing instead of coralline..

its not a white sponge. i have few sponges in my tank. no idea what is it as pic is blurr

looks like a type of nest made by some things. I seen somewhere on the web siteson these, cant remember where. some fish makes nest too. No idea what this is 100%. try to touch it. whats the feeling? if soft, most probably a nest

My gf tank also has... Don't worry.. whatever it is, it doesn't grow too much such that it'll overun your tank and so far it's been pretty harmless...
