white shelled snails on sps

Thank you Xiggie. tat explains a couple sps losing color. They must be stressed out. Do the snails just eat the tissue till they are done?

Not too sure bout that , I never had them but I have a friend who got them, he had to go hunting with a tweezer and pick them out one by one.

Yes , and sure to loose other corals too ,

I had this snail in one of my acros it eat the whole of my base of my acro *expletive* dipped dipped got two out now the acro is healing I practice using a torchlight at night and inspect each colony never seen any afterthat

So this is the culpit.

I lost 3 acro after adding this snail 2 week ago.

Must hunt down this fellow before more damage is done

Looks like the sps is stablising and healing after removing the snails. Well, lesson learnt. Need to not just enjoy the tank during daytime, after dark also need to wipe out the torchlight to do some viewing.

And it's great to have senior reefers around to help id and give advice.
