Plenum wouldn't help honestly.... Firstly it would be better for u to go for 6inch DSB coz ur tank has a height of 2.5ft, secondly 3-4inch sandbed don't really lies in the DSB zone. Lastly, unless u have arms like ET or u enjoys having ur armpit wet, then u can fill ur sandbed with only 3-4inch sand.
